Episode 15 has easily been the best episode of Season 4 so far. So many little things were at play, involving major characters from each class. Tsubaki’s (from Class 1-A) initial master plan to stop Ayanokoji from moving forward was outsmarted by Ayanokoji himself. As it turns out, Ayanokoji had arranged a counterstrategy to avoid the ambush by keeping Sakayanagi in the loop, though he now owes her a favor.
However, Ayanokoji knows very well how to use even the smartest people to his advantage. Therefore, his prior connection with Ryuen also helped him avoid wasting time dealing with Hosen. In fact, that particular fight between Hosen and Ryuen was absolutely wild!
Then there was the completely unexpected confession from Ichinose, which once again proved just how much aura Ayanokoji carries all by himself.
Last but not least, the highlight of the episode was Ayanokoji’s verbal exchange with Student Council President Nagumo near the end. Nagumo was fully prepared to take Ayanokoji on head-to-head, but Ayanokoji did not have time for that. He had to head to the final challenge location, I2, where, as Ichinose warned, something sinister was waiting for our protagonist. But just how bad could it be?

If Episode 15 was the season’s best episode, then the upcoming episode is likely to surpass it. Although not much has been hinted at regarding what awaits Ayanokoji, a trap has certainly been set to get him expelled from the academy. Whether it involves an astronomical challenge requirement that is nearly impossible to pass or a direct confrontation with Koenji, anything can happen.
Another possibility that cannot be ruled out is the reveal of the White Room student’s true identity. With so many unanswered questions still hanging in the air, there is certainly a lot to look forward to in the season finale.
