When this wacky $250K pitch hit the Shark Tank stage, even Robert Herjavec couldn’t help but call it “full of BS.” And well, it kind of was, on the surface. The idea sounded more like a gag gift than a legit business plan. But plot twist: that same product’s now raking in a crazy $13.9M a year.
It’s the classic “don’t judge a pitch by its punchline” story. Turns out, behind all the laughs was a money-making machine no one saw coming.

Birddogs went from “full of BS” to $13.9M: Shark Tank’s wildest pitch wins big
Back in Shark Tank Season 9, Peter Baldwin and Chris Mason strutted in with gym shorts, a watermelon, and enough confidence to flood the tank. They asked for $250,000 for 1.5% of their company, Birddogs, a bold, comfort-first line of men’s gym shorts with built-in liners.
The pitch was great. The product was functional and hilarious. But the sharks weren’t buying it. Robert Herjavec famously called them “full of BS.” Lori Greiner accused them of dodging questions. Mark Cuban thought they were marketing-heavy and plan-light. Every shark bailed. No deal.

Fast-forward to now, those “BS” shorts are pulling in $13.9M annually (via SharkTank Recap). The same shorts that replaced underwear and made a watermelon crash-test part of their demo are now thriving.

Turns out, men do want comfort without boxer lines. With moisture-wicking fabric, odor control, zippered pockets, and that signature silky inner pouch, Birddogs are gym-ready and lounge-approved.
Post-Tank, Baldwin and Mason expanded into joggers, khakis, polos, and even boxer briefs. And despite a 2020 ADA lawsuit over web accessibility, they kept climbing, raising prices and keeping customers hooked.
At the end, Birddogs proved the sharks wrong.
Mark Cuban makes shocking Shark Tank-style trade war prediction

Mark Cuban dropped a bold take on the tariff chaos, and it’s not what you’d expect. In a blunt 11-word post on Bluesky, he predicted in a Bluesky post on April 6:
Free Trade, zero tariffs Elon vs Full Tariff Trump is going to be interesting to watch. The stakes are enormous for the American People. Who comes out on top? I think unfortunately for the economy, in this case, it’s Trump.
Cuban thinks Trump’s hardline stance will outmuscle Elon Musk’s free-trade vibes. But here’s the twist: he believes Trump’s win could crush the economy.
With tariffs spiking prices and rattling markets, Cuban warns we’re headed for a “far worse situation than 2008” if things don’t change. He even suggested consumers start panic-buying basics like toothpaste and soap.

Meanwhile, experts are echoing the alarm. Some claim we’re already in a recession. And if Cuban’s prediction holds, we might be watching a real-life economic thriller, just without the happy ending.
