Robert and Michelle King’s supernatural drama Evil, which has won praise for its smart, witty take on faith, science, and the paranormal, is set to depart Netflix. The series is one of the many titles leaving the streaming platform this coming December for good (via What’s on Netflix).
This is not the first time that Netflix has taken such a decision. Previously, the streamer first licensed the first season back in 2020, but it was removed just a year later.
Moreover, the fourth season, which was released in May last year, will not stream on Netflix as well. The available three seasons will be gone from Netflix on December 31, 2025.
Where Can Fans Watch Evil After It Leaves Netflix?
Once Evil departs Netflix at the end of 2025, the primary home for the series will be Paramount+, where Seasons 3 and 4 (including four “bonus” episodes) originally aired.
Paramount+ had commissioned those extra episodes in order to give the story a satisfactory ending (via TV Line). As of now, there are no public plans for the show to move to another streaming service, despite fan campaigns and cast appeals.
So, if you want to stream the series, Paramount+ is your best bet. Unless something changes, that is where the show will be for the foreseeable future. Created by Robert and Michelle King, it starred Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, and Aasif Mandvi in lead roles.

Will There Be A Season 5 For Evil?

Unfortunately, this is where things get a little bittersweet. Paramount+ had previously cancelled the show, revealing that Evil will be ending with just four seasons but ordering four additional episodes for the fourth season (via TV Line).
The Kings had stated back then that they would be treating the bonus episodes as a short Season 5. Despite it, the cast and crew, as well as the fans, remained hopeful for a possible full-fledged fifth season (via What’s on Netflix). Even author Stephen King asked Paramount to revive the series (via Decider).
Mike Colter (who plays David in the show) previously said that the finale won’t wrap everything up, but leaves the door open: there’s some place to go (via Decider). That tension reflects how the Kings approached the ending, treating the final episodes as both an end and a possible new beginning.
However, despite these efforts and the series doing well enough on the charts, there is no Season 5 in development.
So, if you are a new fan who has only recently come across the show, take this time to binge-watch it on Netflix before it departs from the platform by the end of this year.
