The White Lotus season 4 is reportedly moving to France (via Variety). While HBO hasn’t officially confirmed this, according to reports, showrunner Mike White and co. are actively scouting locations in Paris and the French Riviera. Most of the season is expected to occur in the South of France, with Paris most likely to serve as the center for a potential subplot.
With a renewal of the Four Seasons hotel chain deal still unlikely, HBO is apparently considering Le Lutetia and the Ritz, two five-star hotels, for the upcoming season. As for whether Sydney Sweeney will return for season 4? Showrunner Mike White has weighed in on the possibility.

Sydney Sweeney’s The White Lotus Return Remains Unlikely
Throughout the show’s run, only three characters have reprised their roles in multiple seasons, including Jennifer Coolidge‘s Tanya McQuoid, Natasha Rothwell’s Belinda Lindsey, and Jon Gries’ Greg Hunt. As for Sweeney’s Olivia Mossbacher, the fan favorite from season 1, showrunner Mike White expressed that he’d love to join forces with the actor.
Considering that the Christy star had popped into stardom since her tenure on the show concluded, the showrunner quipped that they might be unable to afford the A-lister (via Variety).
I don’t know if we could afford her now. As of now, it doesn’t look like that’s gonna happen.
That’d be a shame, given how Sydney owned the gig in season 1, even though she wasn’t originally a favorite to land the role, which was initially written as “an intellectually pretentious bully”. But as the story goes, the Christy star wowed them in the auditions, leading to the version we witnessed onscreen.
Sydney Sweeney’s Partnership With Mike White Could Extend Beyond the HBO Show
Even if a season 4 return might be out of the cards, at least for now, Sweeney has expressed a desire to join White on The Amazing Race, where a team of two competes against each other in different parts of the world, adding, “Honestly, Mike and I would be a killer team.”

White, who is no stranger to competing on the reality show, given his history in The Amazing Show and Survivor before excelling as a showrunner, entertained the idea. The showrunner was certain that a win was guaranteed with Sweeney on the team.
I would definitely win with her. She’s the master at getting what she wants. And I mean that in an absolutely good way.
While time will tell if this dream team-up will be realized amid Sweeney’s busy schedule, hopefully, the duo will reunite for The White Lotus in the foreseeable future. With season 4 set to kick off filming next year, it’ll be interesting to see whether it’ll live up to its predecessors.
