Earlier this year, Asuka expressed concerns for her safety after interactions with fans went wrong. While we do not know what exactly went down, it was enough to shake her to the core, so much so that she had to seek consultation from the police.

The Japanese pro wrestler has been killing it in the industry long before she signed with WWE. With a reputation that will have you shaking in your boots, Asuka is a fine example of wrestling’s final boss. From being a Grand Slam Champion to winning the first Women’s Royal Rumble in 2018, she has won in almost every corner of WWE.
Thus, it is no surprise that her fan following is insane. With over two million followers on Instagram alone, Asuka has built herself a loyal and diverse fanbase that loves her for more than just her skills in the ring. Unfortunately, there is a very thin line between love and obsession, and we fear that this line has been crossed by a “fan.”

Back in January this year, the wrestler sent out a couple of posts on X where she expressed her frustration with fans who develop romantic feelings for her and don’t hesitate before taking things to the next level. She requested her fans, “Please don’t have romantic feelings for me. It’s meaningless – 100% pointless.”
Asuka also admitted that she has been feeling in danger due to such fan interactions to the point that she had to involve the police in the whole mess. Check out her post below:

It has been a while since we saw the colorful-headed Asuka inside WWE’s ring, and one of the reasons is that she suffered a knee injury while on SmackDown. During the March 15 episode, she ended up in a bad spot during a match between Bayley and Dakota Kai of Damage CTRL. She was then pulled from the live events on March 16 and 17.

While she did return for WrestleMania 40, she lost the Women’s Tag Team Titles to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. Since then, the Japanese wrestler has been out of action from WWE and forced to take a break to focus on recovery.
According to Bodyslam‘s report, Asuka is expected to be kept on the side for “at least a couple more months,” thanks to the company taking a “cautious approach” to her recovery. Thus, the wrestler couldn’t make it to WrestleMania 41.
As she works towards a return, Asuka gives fans updates on her journey to recovery on her YouTube channel, where she posted a video of her workouts, proving that you can’t keep her down for long. Wrestlers beware: Asuka will bounce back.
