Modern Family is one of those sitcoms that we still wish had another season. While we had fun watching the nostalgic days of the three California-based families, the two most loved characters were surely Mitchell Pritchett and Cameron Tucker. Played by Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet, the former recently revealed a peculiarly shocking detail from the set of Modern Family.
Under a Reddit post of AMA, one fan, while appreciating Stonestreet’s time on So You Think You Can Dance, listed a few questions: “What’s your drink of choice? Is Eric Stonestreet a good kisser? Do you have any siblings in real life and are they anything like Claire?”
Replying to the question, the actor wrote, under the comment 11 years back,
It changes. A nice glass of wine is nice. Eric is not the best kisser I have ever had…but I think it is because we are acting when we kiss! I have a brother and a sister and neither one of them are like Claire. I LOVE Julie Bowen and love playing the Mitch/Claire dynamic.
For those unversed, Stonestreet’s Cameron and Ferguson’s Mitchell played a gay married couple in the hit series that people still can’t get over today. The two shared a loving bond, often surprising the audience with several kisses on screen.
Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet Share Good Old Cheers
In this month’s episode of the Dinners on Me podcast, both Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson made an appearance to have their Modern Family fans amazed. During their little sweet chit chat, the two recalled a time that made them laugh out loud and share a cheerful moment.
Ferguson recalled the time their casting director, “Jeff Greenberg walking into the glass that day.”
Bursting out with laughs, Stonestreet added, “It’s the greatest moment ever. No, we taped off his face mark. Remember? His face mark lived that whole season, and he just walked right towards us.”
Detailing the event, Ferguson mentioned
Normally on set the craft service area table, a table in the corner. And because we were a hit, quote unquote, they built like this tiny little glass box in the middle of the stage. It was like a little kitchen.
He further continued that the director had walked into a glass box, which also had a door as well as windows. This was the same time the two actors were sharing a breakfast, right when Greenberg came “strutting across the way,” while walking towards them, and had his face planted on the glass wall.
Recalling their days, the two also spoke about how they went on a lunch on Valentine’s Day. Also adding over chuckles how they both were single back then, and neither of them had a Valentine’s Day on their mind.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson never misses a chance to grab attention while on social media. And this time he didn’t just attract eyes, but raised eyebrows. We know the actor has turned fifty, but in the latest Instagram pictures uploaded by Eric Stonestreet, the actor, whose mindblowing skills we have also enjoyed in Cocaine Bear, looked way older.

Maybe he has embraced his old age. The actor has been maintaining his looks for a long time, but in these few new pictures, he donned a totally new look, with some fans unable to recognise him.
However, it was later revealed that before uploading the carousel, Stonestreet had made a few touchups to the images. He edited the photos to give his on-screen husband wrinkly, aged skin and an almost bald head with grey hair.
For those unversed, this is not the first time such a prank has been carried out on the fans. Back in 2024, wishing Ferguson a happy birthday, Stonestreet put up a similar post on Instagram, with Ferguson donning a grey mustache.
