The post naturally sparked backlash, with many calling it a direct celebration of anti-trans policies. Several celebrities, including SNL star Bowen Yang and Bridgerton actor Nicola Coughlan, publicly criticized Rowling, voicing their disappointment on social media (via US Weekly). 2. Mocking the Concept of Asexuality

Yet again in April 2025, J.K. Rowling reposted a graphic about International Asexuality Day, only to ridicule the idea behind it. Using X to dismiss asexuality outright, the author sarcastically called the day “International Fake Oppression Day” and mocked people for openly sharing that they don’t experience sexual attraction.

3. Unwilling to Forgive the Harry Potter Stars
