Beyond the expanded Pal roster, Palworld 1.0 delivers the biggest gameplay overhaul since Palworld launched in Early Access. Players can now explore Sunreach, a floating archipelago filled with new environments, tower bosses, exclusive Pals, and rare resources.
The update also finally opens access to the World Tree, continuing and concluding the game’s central storyline through a reworked main mission structure, new NPCs, side missions, and collectible lore journals.
The update also introduces several new gameplay systems, including Pal Awakening and Mutation, allowing players to strengthen their favorite companions or breed mutated Pals with improved stats and unique passive abilities. More than 200 Partner Skills have been redesigned, while numerous new passive skills encourage more varied team compositions and offer stronger bonuses.
Combat has also received significant improvements. Version 1.0 further expands progression with 13 new weapons. Base building has also been greatly expanded. The new Aquatic Construction Kit allows players to build along coastlines and over water. On top of that, the update revamps multiplayer with voice chat support for dedicated servers, expanded guild permissions, better server tools, improved chat moderation, and easier friend invitations
