It didn’t offer a title, release window, or gameplay information, but it did confirm the game by name, referencing the “second installment of Hogwarts Legacy” among its growing list of projects.
The timing couldn’t have been better; Hogwarts Legacy originally launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/ S, and PC on February 10, 2023. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions followed in May later that year.
Ever since then, Warner Bros. has made it clear that a successor to this successful title was an important part of the company’s long-term strategy, which many would say was rather bound to happen given that Hogwarts Legacy has sold more than 40 million copies worldwide by now.
