Logan Paul has established himself as a leading presence in the entertainment industry today. Whether it be his wrestling debut or his Impaulsive podcast, the YouTuber has made friends and enemies with a lot of people.

However, a few years back, the internet personality shocked fans when he became ‘besties’ with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. From visiting his film sets to making content together, it was surprising to see two unlikely celebs from different parts of the industry come together. But, unfortunaetly, it did not take long before their friendship ended for good. In an episode of his podcast, Paul spoke up about it again, revealing his regret.

Logan Paul and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson used to be friends once, which developed back in the late 2010s. Such was their bond that the two even created content together and Paul even got a promotional stint for The Rock’s Baywatch.

However, the moment Paul unploded his infamous Forest of S**cides video on his YouTube channel, in which he visited the infamous Aokigahara forest of Japan known for s**cides, that his friendship with Johnson ended (via BBC). In an episode of his Impaulsive podcast, nearly on he verge of tears, Paul opened up about that chapter of his life to John Cena.

Calling Cena and The Rock as two people he looked up to a lot, Paul went on to describe how he and Johnson became friends. Everything was going great until the Japan incident occurred and Paul was left to deal with the consequences of his actions.

DJ was one of the people I hurt because of his mother’s experience. That’s his experience to tell, I’m not going to share. I hurt him. So much so that he basically wanted nothing to do with me, and rightfully so. I let down my hero.

Revealing that not only did he do a lot of damage but he had to go through a tremendous amount of therapy to figure out his life. While he was dealing with this, Johnson had basically kicked him to the curb. It was a lot for him to deal with it, as not only had he let his fans and family down, but letting down his ‘idol’ who went on to blacklist him, was something Paul can never forget.

Following the infamous Japan video that Logan Paul had uploaded, the YouTuber had gotten a call from The Rock’s publicist, who not only asked him to remove all their content together but also told him that the wrestler-actor wanted nothing to do with him anymore (via True Geordie Podcast).

This is a moment that Paul can never let go of, as he revealed to John Cena during his podcast.

I think my ego told myself that ‘I’m going to remember that and if I ever become great one day, I’m going to remember this and remember the way I was discarded,’ and again, rightfully so. I don’t think I’ve ever been truly able to let go of that. I have a lot of stuff to work through in terms of that.

Meanwhile, Cena, after listening to him, shared an anecdote about one of Paul’s biggest enemies, Dilon Danis.

You told me a story earlier today about one of the toughest times in your recent life where your fiance [Nina Agdal] was put in a position that made her and you uncomfortable by a certain human being. You needed to keep your sanity about you and not like your emotions take over. What did you do?

Paul replied that he had forgiven him. Cena, being the nice person that he is, went on to explain to the YouTuber that he needs to forgive The Rock if he wants to move on and get closure. Paul agreed and replied:

I think I have an ego problem. It’s kind of hard. I can’t do it without having a conversation with him. I think that’s part of this puzzle, and I don’t know if I’m ready for that.

Cena then said that he doesn’t need a conversation since forgiveness comes on your own terms. While Logan Paul has made tremendous strides in his career since his fallout with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, he still carries the weight of their now-non-existent friendship. While Paul has spoken about it every once in a while, The Rock has yet to offer any remarks.
