Update 2.7.0 has rolled out just a couple of days after the last patch, which added the HIKAKIN Museum collaboration map, and it keeps the map pool growing. Egypt is now the game’s ninth official map, joining other iconic locations such as Hide-and-Seek Mansion, Backrooms, Osaka, and more.
The following are the full Meccha Chameleon 2.7.0 patch notes:
New official map “Egypt” has been added.
When playing on random maps, you can now toggle ON/OFF whether to include each map in the lottery. Collaboration maps are set to OFF by default.
Added random elements to the official map “Penguin Hotel”.
Fixed an issue where players could get stuck too deeply into walls on the official map “HIKAKIN Museum”.
The mentioned patch hands players more control over Random Map mode. The new setting now lets you toggle individual maps on or off when the lottery picks your stage, with collaboration maps such as HIKAKIN Museum switched OFF by default.
Meccha Chameleon Available Platforms

Meccha Chameleon, at the time of this writing, still remains a Steam-only release for Windows PC, priced at $5.99, with no official version on PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch. Furthermore, the developer hasn’t announced any console plans, so Steam remains the only place to pick it up.
The better news is that the game runs on pretty much anything that runs atleast Windows 10, meaning any potato computer you might have lying around from a few years ago might still be good to get Meccha Chameleon going. The following are the minimum requirements as listed on the game’s official Steam page for your reference:
OSWindows 10 64-bit.ProcessorIntel Core i5GraphicsDirectX 11 or 12 compatible graphics card
Since everyone plays on the same Windows build, there’s no cross-platform matchmaking to worry about. What has been your favorite addition in this update? Drop your thoughts below!
