Wuthering Waves Version 3.5 is almost here, bringing players back to Huanglong for the next major chapter of Rover’s journey. The update introduces the new region of Mengzhou: Land of Xuanfang, expands the main story with Chapter IV, adds two new playable Resonators, and launches several limited-time events alongside quality-of-life improvements.

Kuro Games has confirmed that Wuthering Waves Version 3.5 will release on July 10, 2026, after the usual scheduled server maintenance.
Maintenance is expected to begin at 4:00 AM (UTC+8) on July 10 and last approximately seven hours, with servers scheduled to reopen at 11:00 AM (UTC+8). As with previous updates, maintenance could conclude slightly earlier if everything proceeds smoothly.

Players who have unlocked the in-game Mail feature before maintenance begins can also expect the standard maintenance compensation of 300 Astrites and 2 Crystal Solvents after the servers reopen.
Additionally, preload for Version 3.5 is expected to become available on July 8, 2026, around 10:00 AM (UTC+8) for both PC and mobile, allowing players to download most of the update ahead of launch.

Version 3.5 is one of the game’s biggest updates so far. We’re finally getting the extension of introducing a brand-new Huanglong region, new story chapters, characters, weapons, events, and several gameplay improvements.
The highlight of the update is Mengzhou: Land of Xuanfang, a new explorable area blending ancient architecture with advanced machinery. The story continues through Chapter IV, featuring The Wind Before the Storm, Xuanling Sings, Storm Quelled, and the Segue chapter The Chant of Unseen Ties, while also expanding Yangyang’s story and introducing her sister, Suisui.

The update introduces two new playable 5-star Resonators:

Version 3.5 also includes the new Starpath Reverbs selector banner, allowing players to choose one of six returning Huanglong 5-star Resonators from Versions 1.0 through 1.2 as their featured rate-up character. The corresponding Tideforge Reverbs banner similarly brings back signature weapons from those earlier releases.
Two new signature weapons also debut during the patch:

Meanwhile, Rover gains access to the long-awaited Electro Attribute as part of the main story progression.
Beyond characters and story content, Version 3.5 adds new Echoes, three Sonata Effects, the Tactical Hologram battle against Denia, and two new Deluxe Outfits for Lynae and Chisa.
Players can also participate in several limited-time activities throughout the patch, including Virtual Crisis: Quadrant Trials, Recaptured: Action Highlights, Lament Recon: Tacet Crisis, A Glimpse of Xuanfang, Shape of Yesterday, Lollo Campaign: New Journey, Gifts of Aftertune, In Search of Lost Jade, and more. These events reward Astrites, Radiant and Lustrous Tides, Premium Tuners, Resonance materials, exclusive cosmetics, and other upgrade resources.
Version 3.5 also delivers several quality-of-life improvements, including individual voice language selection for characters, a streamlined Guidebook interface, improved beginner rewards, Intel XeSS 3 Frame Generation support, and client optimization aimed at reducing overall game size and improving resource management on supported devices.
